Are You Getting A North Carolina Stimulus Payment in 2022?
Since the COVID-19 pandemic began Americans have received multiple rounds of stimulus money. And it might come as somewhat of a surprise that some people are set to receive more. The federal government isn’t showing signs of sending out an additional stimulus check so this is the last chance to get money courtesy of the government. Here’s who in North Carolina should be expecting stimulus payments at the beginning of the year.
According to Marca.com, parents of newborns, foster, or adopted children (2021-2022) will have a stimulus check benefit in 2022 according to the U.S. Government. Part of the government help will go to either a new dependent or a parent of a child who was born in 2021. In order to receive the money, the parents of the newborn child must file a tax return for the year 2021 and turn it in in 2022.
The full $1,400 is available for single parents up to $75,000 per year or couples earning up to $150,000 per year. Additionally, new parents who had a child in 2021 are eligible for an expanded child tax credit. This tax credit was also part of the same stimulus package.
