Disney Is Creating Planned Communities
If you’ve always dreamed of living at Disney World or Disney Land, you’re dream may become a reality…kind of.
Communities with a touch of Disney magic may be coming to a neighborhood near you. Disney plans to build master-planned “Storyliving” communities. The first is setfor Rancho Mirage, California. The site is in the Coachella Valley near where Walt and Lillian Disney owned a home.
According to Fox 5 News in San Diego, the communities will be developed by Disney Imagineers. The communities will have the outstanding service that’s associated with the Disney theme parks. The community will feature single family homes, condos and one section reserved for residents age 55 and over.
Some other features include shopping, dining, and Disney entertainment, as well as a crystal clear lake at the center. Living in one of these communities will feel as if you’re living at one of the theme parks. At least that’s the goal.
The first neighborhood will be called Cotino and there’s already sketches and video to take a look at. It looks cool but I’m sure it’ll be pricey. If you’re a huge fan of Disney, one of these communities may be for you!
