Disney+Will Introduce A Cheaper Subscription+Commercials
Recently, Disney+ has announced that the streaming service will offer a cheaper subscription that will include advertisements. The Chairman of Disney Media said, “Expanding access to Disney+ to a broader audience at a lower price point is a win for everyone.” He continued, “More consumers will be able to access our amazing content. Advertisers will be able to reach a wider audience, and our storytellers will be able to share their incredible work with more fans and families.” Disney is hoping to launch this cheaper tier later this year.
I knew this was bound to happen. Hulu has been playing commercials since I’ve had it. Yes, I could pay a premium and get Hulu without commercials, but I’m in the business so ads don’t bother me as much as maybe they bother you. Not a surprise Disney’s doing this. They want more people viewing and remember that Disney owns Hulu so they are just following a model they own.
I’m personally hooked on “The Book of Boba Fett” If you don’t have Disney +, the new less expensive version along with the below trailer may win you over. The series based on a character we barely saw in STAR WARS is awesome!
