‘RoboBurger’ Vending Machine Debuts In New Jersey
We’ve talked about pizza vending machines on the show. A freshly topped and baked pizza in about three minutes sounds fairly safe. But what about something that involves raw beef? Hold on to your meat thermometer because the future of burger-making technology is here.
If you happen to be at the Newport Centre Mall in Jersey City, New Jersey, you can get a freshly cooked burger from RoboBurger. The creators of the new vending machine say it’s “the world’s first burger robot in a box” and that the final product is not the reheated hockey puck you might expect.
According to USA Today, these high-tech burgers are made from 100% Angus pasture-raised Pat LaFrieda beef and served on a toasted potato bun. How is that possible? RoboBurger has its own griddle, toaster, and refrigerator. For $6.99, you can order a classic burger with mustard, cheese (aged Wisconsin cheddar), and ketchup, or have it customized. RoboBurger accepts credit cards, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.
The fast food industry has been on of the hardest hit during the so-called “Great Resignation.” Hey, if people don’t want to flip burgers, why not let robots do it? Check out RoboBurger below:
