Two Musicians Perform Amazing Duet On Separate Subway Platforms
You never know what you’ll encounter when you ride the subway in New York City. It’s not always pretty. Then again, sometimes it’s incredibly beautiful.
Two musicians, a cellist and a violinist, recently put on a concert in the 2nd Avenue station. That’s not unusual. It happens all the time in the Big Apple. Musicians say they love the acoustics. What’s interesting about this performance, though, is that they’re on two separate platforms.
It might appear like a chance meeting but they clearly know each other, and probably play this way in order to maximize their revenue from subway riders going in opposite directions. Smart move. Besides, what are the odds that two random musicians would be able to pull off the first movement of Mozart’s Symphony No. 25 in G minor just like that?
