Hockey Fan Wins $10K Thanks To His Own Mistake
A misplaced decimal point ended up being a very good error for one lucky sports bettor. A Buffalo Sabres fan calling himself “Oreo Speedwagon (Buffalo Bob Z)” on Twitter says he meant to place a $2.50 bet on the Sabres beating the New Jersey Devils, and Kyle Okposo (top) scoring the game’s first goal. Instead, he placed a bet for $250.00. Oops.
Bob blamed the mistake on his age, but no harm done. In fact, it was quite the opposite. The Buffalo Sabres won the hockey game and Kyle Okposo did score the first goal, which means both bets came through. Bob’s wager ended up cashing out at $10,000!
With his new-found wealth, Bob Lots of people asking what we'll buy.

Tonight, I meant to place a $2.50 bet on the Sabres winning and Kyle Okposo scoring 1st.
Instead, because I'm old, I accidentally placed a $250 bet on the Sabres winning and Kyle Okposo scoring the 1st goal.
