I realize that cell phones are expensive and that losing one can cause major anxiety. All your info, contacts, personal notes, and more are in our phones now. Our lives are in our phones! THAT said, I don’t know that I’d go through all this! A woman who accidentally dropped her cellphone into the hole of an outhouse in a national forest, fell in while trying to retrieve it. YUCK!

The woman was at the top of Mount Walker in the Olympic National Forest northwest of Seattle. She was using her phone while on the toilet and it fell in. According to AP News, the woman disassembled the toilet seat to try and get her phone. She even used dog leashes to try and reach it. Eventually, the woman used the leashes to tie herself off as she reached for her phone, and that’s when things went very wrong.

This effort didn’t work, and the unnamed woman fell into the toilet, headfirst. Just reading this makes me cringe! The woman was alone and tried to get out for about 15 minutes. Finally the phone was retrieved and it still worked. However while reaching for it the woman became stuck and had to call 911!

Firefighters responding passed her blocks to stand on to reach a harness, which they used to pull her out of the vault. The Brinnon Fire Department said the woman was uninjured. After hosing her off, she was  “strongly encouraged to seek medical attention after being exposed to human waste, but she only wanted to leave,” the department said.

Brinnon Fire Department Chief Tim Manly said, “I’ve been doing this for 40 years, and that was a first.”  I am really hoping this woman got some medical attention. I mean, you’d think she would need a shot or something after being stuck in all that nastiness! Hell, just reading this story makes me wanna shower!

I guess the upside is that she didn’t get hurt but I’m sure her pride took a hit!
