Man Tries Absurd Disguise To Elude Cops And Hilarity Ensues
The start of summer is officially next month, but “Dumber in the Summer” has already begun. And this story is a perfect example! A man tries an absurd disguise to elude police and I’m telling ya this is something right outta “Scooby Doo”.
Police in Belfast, Maine found themselves confronting a “ghost” in front of a hotel. On Sunday night, at the Admiral Ocean Inn, police found an “apparition” seated in a chair and shared the image of Facebook.
“Here at Belfast Police Department, we have seen some crafty ways of hiding from the police. This unfortunately is not one of them,” the department wrote. According to The Charlotte Observer, the “ghost” was a 53-year-old man, trying to hide from the cops. The man was removed from the hotel property earlier in the night after causing a disturbance while intoxicated. He was told not to come back to the property.
Obviously, the guy was REALLY drunk because he did come back. When police were called again, they found the man sitting in a chair on the front porch, hiding under a blanket. Totally a disguise right out of a “Scooby Doo” cartoon. Bless!
The department’s post on Facebook about the inept disguise had gotten more than 1,300 reactions and comments, including a lot of “Ghostbusters” puns and jokes. And yes, a few people mentioned “Scooby Doo”.
“Someone take this person back to kindergarten and teach them how to play hide and seek.” https://t.co/HYGFABldMc
