‘Spinal Tap II’ Movie In The Works
One of the greatest rock-n-roll movies of all time is “This Is Spinal Tap”. Released in 1984, the film is a hilarious take on the lives of a touring rock band. I love it so much that most people can’t watch it with me because I say the lines out loud along with the actors while the movies playing. Yes. I’m THAT annoying rock chick! LOL!
If you’re like me and you loved the first flick, you’ll be glad to know a sequel is in the works. Castle Rock Entertainment is relaunching their film division and the sequel to the rock mockumentary is its first project. Sweet!
According to Deadline, “Spinal Tap II” will feature Rob Reiner directing the sequel and playing filmmaker Marty DiBergi. Also back are Michael McKean, Harry Shearer, and Christopher Guest to play rockers David St. Hubbins, Derek Smalls, and Nigel Tufnel, respectively.
To quote Nigel, “The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and…” I’m READY to go to eleven again! Release date for the flick is March of 2024.
