Who among you have had this idea for years now and can’t believe someone else is going to get the credit for it? What an amazing project. So many struggling artists get lost in the shuffle as do many business start ups and its creation is pure genius. Just watching this show would create awareness for bands that in the pass would be missed completely.
Members of Blink-182, Fall Out Boy, and other music industry vets are launching a ‘Shark Tank’-like opportunity for artists. Hoppus says Verswire will “build a new way for bands and artists to create music for communities” while still retaining ownership of their work. Verswire already has its first signing – the alt-rock band Beauty School Dropout, (below) which dropped its first single this week.
