Van Leeuwen Releases Grey Poupon Mustard Ice Cream And Other Flavors For Summer
Remember that mac & cheese ice cream Mel and I tried last year? If you thought that was weird, hold onto your gag reflex. Who’s ready for mustard ice cream to ruin their summer?
Van Leeuwen, the company that created the Kraft Macaroni & Cheese ice cream, has teamed up with Grey Poupon, also a Kraft brand, for a new Dijon mustard-flavored ice cream. The limited-edition treat is described by Van Leeuwen as “an unexpected yet delightful blend of sweet ice cream, honey-dijon swirl, and salted pretzels.”
FoodSided reports that the other flavors launched by Van Leeuwen this summer are Campfire S’mores, Summer Peach Crisp, Honey Cornbread with Strawberry Jam, and Espresso Fior di Latte Chip. Those sound relatively harmless. However, earlier this spring, Van Leeuwen unleashed Pizza ice cream on the public. That one features cream cheese and mozzarella ice cream with tomato jam swirls and basil crust cookies.
If you’re up for it, you can find Van Leeuwen’s latest special edition ice cream flavors at select Walmart stores. You have to wonder what those mad scientists in Brooklyn will come up with next.
