Look Up To See Rare 5-Planet Alignment This Month
Keep your eye on the sky for a spectacular sight. The five planets of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn are aligned in planetary order throughout the month of June.
According to CNN, this rare five-planet alignment has not occurred since December 2004. You’ll need binoculars or a telescope along with a clear view of the eastern horizon to spot Mercury this week. Then, as the month goes on, Mercury will become brighter and easier to see.
Scientists say the rest of the planets should be consistently visible to the naked eye. You’ll also need to set your alarm for an early morning wake-up for the best time to view the five planets. The best time to see this phenomenon is during the 30 minutes before sunrise.
By the way, Mercury is officially out of retrograde as of June 3rd. If anything in your life goes wrong now, you’ll have to find something else to blame.
