With the 4th of July holiday upon us, you’re probably either getting ready to host or attend a cookout. If you’re hosting, be prepared to shell out a few bucks. According to the American Farm Bureau Federation, your trip to the supermarket will be pricier than it was last year.

The group put out their annual report on the cost of a typical July 4th cookout, and they claim a bash for 10 people should set you back $69.68, which is less than seven dollars a person and doesn’t sound too bad. However, that total is actually up about $10 from last year, or roughly 17%. Of course, it also depends on where you shop. You’ll spend a lot more at Whole Foods than you will at Aldi.

The biggest price increases came with proteins, such as ground beef, chicken breasts, and pork chops. The only things that are lower in price this year are strawberries, sliced cheese, and potato chips. I suppose ifyou really wanted to save money, you could just serve a really weird salad made from those three things. Here’s the full breakdown:

  • 2 pounds of ground beef, $11.12 (+36%)
  • 2 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breasts, $8.99 (+33%)
  • 32 ounces of pork & beans, $2.53 (+33%)
  • 3 pounds of center cut pork chops, $15.26 (+31%)
  • 2.5 quarts of fresh-squeezed lemonade, $4.43 (+22%)
  • 2.5 pounds of homemade potato salad, $3.27 (+19%)
  • 8 hamburger buns, $1.93 (+16%)
  • Half-gallon of vanilla ice cream, $5.16 (+10%)
  • 13-ounce bag of chocolate chip cookies, $4.31 (+7%)
  • 2 pints of strawberries, $4.44 (-16%)
  • 1 pound of sliced cheese, $3.53 (-13%)
  • 16-ounce bag of potato chips, $4.71 (-4%)
