A ‘Who’s The Boss?’ Sequel Is Happening
Angela! Samantha! Mona! If you just read those three names in the voice of Tony Danza, then Amazon’s Freevee has something big for you. The iconic ’80s sitcom Who’s The Boss? is coming back to TV.
Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano are set to star in a Who’s The Boss? sequel on Amazon’s Freevee streaming platform. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony has been working on this project for the last two years. The legendary Norman Lear is one of the executive producers.
The original series aired on ABC from 1984 until 1992. The reboot is set 30 years later and will focus on the father/daughter relationship between Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano’s characters. Milano’s character, Samantha, is now a single mom living in the same house as the one in the ’80s sitcom. Her father, Tony, also lives there, so we can expect that some generational differences will come into play.
No word on original stars Judith Light (Angela) or Danny Pintauro (Jonathan) taking part in the Who’s The Boss? sequel. However, if you want to go back to the ’80s and see the full cast, you can binge the first two seasons on Freevee and seasons 5 and 6 on Tubi now.
