Talk about a sugar score! Starting next week, Krispy Kreme is planning on giving away 8,500 years of free doughnuts in celebration of their 85th anniversary.

Starting this Monday, July 11 through July 14, you can win lots of doughnuts. According to Chewboom, at participating Krispy Kreme stores, random people will be selected each day to win a 85th birthday card. The winners can use the card to redeem one free Original Glazed dozen per month until June 2023. That's a serious doughnut haul!

The doughnut chain is continuing its popular Beat the Pump promotion. The price for a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts is based on the national average price of a gallon of regular gasoline. This will continue each Wednesday through August 31, 2022. As part of the promotion, fans can get up to two dozen Original Glazed doughnuts at participating shops. You can also get them via the drive-thru and for pick-up by ordering online and through the Krispy Kreme app.

I'm more of a bagel fan than a doughnut fan, but if I do eat a doughnut, I like the cake kind. It's a shocker for someone in the South not to like glazed doughnuts, but I've never been a fan. Give me a cake pumpkin spice doughnut or a blueberry cake doughnut any day! Love those!

That said, Krispy Kreme is huge and when people see that 'Hot Now' sign lit up, they'll hop in line quick! And bringing someone a dozen glazed always makes them smile.
