Mix Up Your Weekend
Do you ever feel like there’s a raincloud hanging over your head? Do you ever get in a mood and don’t feel like doing anything? If you find yourself identify mentioned above it might be time to mix things up this weekend. Some people may be against mixing things up because it feels so distant and not the average norm, but sometimes it’s the complete right thing to do. This weekend try visiting a new place even if it’s 10 miles up the road. Even try new routes to drive or walk, it’s that simple. Checking out a new spot (park, shops, museum, restaurant, etc.) can brighten your day just a little bit. This next part might be hard to do, but vital. Stay off your phone- Being on your phone 24/7 is draining. Instead of being invested in everyone else’s lives put the phone down. Ditch the phone clutching habit and focus on yourself.
Be bored- Most people hate being bored but boredom can be useful and if it’s not something you experience often, embracing it could be an interesting way to mix things up. Just go with it and see what happens. Let loose- Take a deep breath (or a few deep breaths) and let go of any tension you may have. Sing your favorite song out loud and maybe dance a little bit while you’re at it. As silly as it may sound, it will make you feel better and genuinely improve your mental state. If you’re going through a dark period, give these a try because they might just help. If you’re in a cheerful time in your life, also consider mixing things up. There’s no easier time to do it than when you’re in that happiness mindset. Regardless of whether you try these ideas or not, they should inspire you to think about how you might want to mix things up in your life.
