Ok, so I saw this post on Facebook on Wednesday. I showed the picture to Phil and I thought he was gonna hurl in the studio. I realize that it’s hard to get kids to eat, especially if they’re picky. But I’m not sure this should be a thing.
On the Budget 101 Facebook page, a woman shared ‘bologna tacos’ that she made for her kids. What are bologna tacos? They’re pieces of bologna, folded in the shape of a shell. I’m guessing you could fill it with anything, but this mom filled it with mashed potatoes and peas. It’s probably one of the most unappetizing things I’ve seen in a long time.
According to this mom, her kids loved it! And at the end of the day, I guess that’s all that matters. I realize that many kids are really picky. When my younger brother was a kid, he only ate fish sticks and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for years. My mom was so worried that she took him to the doctor. The pediatrician’s advice was to let him eat what he wants, at least he’s eating. He said my brother would grow out of it, and eventually he did.
Kids aside, there are a few grown-ups that commented on the picture posted on Facebook. And the comments were positive! Which scares me a little. LOL! But, I’ve never tried this so I can’t be too negative. MAYBE it is good. Maybe. Thoughts?
