Phil & Mel In The Afternoon

Weekdays 3:00PM-7:00PM

I used to love summer! I loved being at the pool and really didn’t mind heat. Now, ugh! Not a fan of summer or the heat. I’m ready for fall and sweater weather and I’m not the only one! Nestle Toll House is ready too. They’re bringing back some fan-favorite cookie doughs soon.

If you’re a pumpkin fan (and you know I am) Nestle Toll House has you covered. Beginning in August, you’ll be able to purchase their Pumpkin Spice Cookie Dough. Yay! You’ll also be able to purchase their M&M’S Goul’s Mix Sugar Cookie Dough as well.

The seasonal cookie doughs will be available at grocery stores and mass retailers nationwide for a limited time, so if you see it, snag it!

As much as I enjoy summer food, I love the fresh veggies and fruit, I love fall food too! Pumpkin is one of my favorite things. I am all about pumpkin spice, but I also love savory pumpkin dishes. Pumpkin seeds are addictive, and I love to roast them. Great snack and healthy.

One of my favorite things to make when the weather cools down, is Pumpkin Black Bean Soup. I wish I could take credit for the recipe, but it’s one I found online by Rachel Ray. It’s so tasty and easy to make. The soup has curry in it, and it makes you feel warm all over. Usually, I’ll add a bit more than the recipe calls for. This soup is so good, I’ll even eat it cold! Pair it with some yummy crusty bread, and you’ve got the perfect meal. Check out the recipe here. You won’t be disappointed.

Now I want soup and pumpkin spice cookies! I may have to bust out the fall flavors a bit early!
