I'm not sure why, but for some reason online shoppers are totally enthralled with this item. There's a Giant King Crab Statue at Home Depot that's going viral. The statue is 6-feet-wide, complete with pinchers, claws, and nested legs, and people love it!

According to the New York Post, the statue is selling on Home Depot's website for $1,539. It's cast in resin and reinforced with fiberglass. The hand-painted statue would be festive outside a restaurant or hotel. If you're a crab fan, it'd be cool outside in your backyard, especially if you have a pool. I'm guessing you could even put the crab in your pool! It weighs 89 pounds, so you may need some help putting it in the pool.

The description on Home Depot's website says, 'We provide everything but the butter." The crab has been around since 2021, but for some reason it's going viral now. There are lots of funny reviews on the crab, and for whatever reason, it's brightening people's lives.

I gotta be honest, I don't get it. Maybe folks are so over seeing depressing things online that they're finding joy in random things, like the crab. If you buy it there's no question it'll be the subject of conversation. If you own a beach house, the crab may be the perfect addition to your front porch or back patio. It would be fun to dress the crab up for different holidays. Or if you have the money, you could buy two crabs and pose them in different ways. It'd be funny to have them re-enact movie scenes.
