Podcast Reunites Charlotte Radio Cohosts After 13 Years
We have a PODCAST! “Loungin’ With Kristen & Jack”
Long before I joined K104.7 in April of 2018, I worked across the street and co-hosted a show called “The Lounge” with my friend Kristen Honeycutt. We started doing the show in late 90’s and did it until 2008 when my co-host got married and moved to Arkansas. It was an afternoon show that was kind of like a morning show. The station had a morning show at the time that was syndicated from another state so it had local footprint. It was the most fun doing a multi-person show in my 50 year career.
Budweiser sponsored us for a long while and we were known as “The Budweiser Lounge”. Flash forward and 10 years later I end up here at K104.7 and having a blast. Kristen is selling real estate and living in Hilton Head. We had talked for years about doing a podcast sharing stories about our old show and being able to chat longer and without restrictions. Most should know by now that you can’t play music on a podcast unless you own the rights to it, so we get to talk.
On July 11, 2021 our podcast debuted on The Queen City Podcast Network. We just celebrated our 1 year anniversary. You can find us on many platforms included Queen City Podcast Network dot com.
