Before anyone says anything about it being too early to talk about Christmas, we already played holiday tunes for 24 hours straight on July 25th. Clearly, it's never too early to talk about Christmas at K104.7. Besides, this is big news! The Southern Christmas Show has released details about its 2022 schedule.

The 55th annual Southern Christmas Show returns to the Park Expo and Conference Center in Charlotte from November 10th through the 20th. According to the official website, the event will feature 440 local and regional vendors. You can really get a lot of holiday shopping done there.

The Southern Christmas Show is packed with other attractions as well. You'll be able to stroll by the festively decorated designer rooms, Christmas Tree Lane, Olde Town, the model train display and, of course, stop by to see Santa Claus. Live musical performances will take place on the LeafFilter Entertainment Stage. And we can only hope Helmut's Strudel will be back this year.

Want to beat the crowds? The Charlotte Observer reports that there will be a special preview night on Wednesday, November 9th from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Going that night helps a great cause, too. A portion of each preview night ticket sold will be donated to The Sandbox, an organization that supports the families of children with cancer or life-altering illnesses.

You can also pre-shop at the Early Bird VIP morning on November 12th from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. Now that's commitment! The first 250 VIP shoppers even get a special commemorative ornament.

Heads up for families: no strollers, wagons, or carts will be allowed at this year's Southern Christmas Show. Also, groups larger than 20 people must purchase their tickets in advance. Tickets are now available online or you can buy them at participating Harris Teeter stores.

Christmas Lights Around The World

The season of lights is here. We're lucky that we get to see amazing Christmas lights every holiday season at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden and, of course, McAdenville, a.k.a. Christmas Town USA. But we're not alone. People everywhere love to illuminate their cities at this time of year. Let's take a tour of Christmas lights around the world!
