50 Best Back-To-School Recipes To Make Life Easier
It happens every year: kids go back-to-school. And every year, no matter how organized you are, it takes a while to get back into the school schedule. Parents and kids have to get used to the school routine. Food Network has some back-to-school recipes that will make that first month back a little easier.
When my step-kids were young, I was big on all of us having dinner together nightly. I grew up that way and I think it’s important. Obviously, there are times that can’t happen with kids participating in sports or activities, but dinner is a great time to play catch-up with your family. I think every adult, with or without kids, thinks about what to make for dinner way more often than we ever thought we would! These recipes can take some pressure off of you and can help you get through the first month or so of the back-to-school schedule.
Not all of the recipes on this list are dinner. Some are treats for you and for the kids. I mean, who doesn’t like a yummy chocolate chip cookie?! And these recipes won’t only help you with dinner, but with lunch for the kids as well.
The Sheet-Pan Meatloaf looks interesting to me. I’ve never thought of making meatloaf like this. You can prep this dish the night before and pop it in the oven for dinner the next night. And making meatloaf this way cuts down on the cook time since it’s not as thick as regular meatloaf.
As a kid, my brother loved fish sticks! It was one of the only things he’d eat. I was never a big fan but the recipe for Parmesan Fish Sticks looks tasty and it’s easy to make. Throw a salad together with this and you’ve got a quick meal.
Growing up, we had BBQ chicken lots. Probably because it was easy to make and not too expensive. (I have three brothers that ate lots) This recipe for BBQ Chicken and Brussels Sprouts Sheet Pan is quick and healthy. There are sweet potato fries with it which are yummy. If your kids don’t like Brussel sprouts, you can sub another green veggie. Honestly, I’m not a fan of them so I’d use green beans instead.
