Would You Bid On Early Photo Of Marilyn Monroe?
A group of Eclectic Items are coming up for auction and maybe you’d like to own some of these. Some eclectic objects from pop culture and history, including a guitar owned by blues legend B.B. King, are going on the auction block.
The lot, which also features early photos of film star Marilyn Monroe, will be up for sale at Guernsey’s auction house in New York next month. Guernsey’s founder and president said, “It’s an auction of iconic objects, things that may have no relation to one another. What they do have in common is that in one way or another, they are pretty remarkable – whether they relate to a famous incident or a famous person.” Other items include some of B.B. King’s handwritten music and a half dozen stage-worn jackets, sports items from U.S. baseball star Mickey Mantle, and jazz singer Billie Holiday‘s passport and fur wrap. Have you ever bought anything at an auction?
No speculation as press time what these items will bring or even what the starting bid might be, it certainly is an iconic group of celebrities for sure. Don’t scratch your note or you might hear “SOLD! to number 1047 in the front row”
