One of the best cakes I've ever had was a cake from 'Nothing Bundt Cakes'. Someone in our office was celebrating their birthday and had a cake from 'Nothing Bundt Cakes'. The cake was flavorful and moist. (Ugh...I hate that word!) I've had Bundt cakes before but nothing like this. I don't know how they do it! The cake company is celebrating their 25th anniversary and you get the giftage!

On Thursday, Sept. 1, the bakery will give the first 250 guests at each location a free Confetti Bundtlet. If you're unfamiliar with tasty treats from the company, a 'Bundtlet' is a small Bundt cake. It's like your own personal cake! Nothing Bundt Cakes offers four cake sizes in nine flavors, including Red Velvet, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Lemon, Strawberries and Cream, and Confetti. They also have seasonal flavors.

I'm a big chocolate fan but I think their lemon and strawberry flavors are the best. They have a pumpkin flavor that you can get in the fall and it's yummy!

According to WCNC, to continue their anniversary celebrations, Nothing Bundt Cakes is holding an online contest where one lucky fan will win a $25,000 birthday party planned by a celebrity party planning company. Also, 25 runners-up will get a $100 Nothing Bundt Cakes gift card.

There are seven locations in our area, so it won't be hard to find a place to score a freebie. Luckily, there's one in Gastonia that I pass daily on my way to and from work, so I'll be leaving for work early tomorrow so I can make a stop.

Melany Myers is a Gastonia native and has spent most of her life here in North Carolina.
