With state and county fairs popping up all over the country this time of year, America’s consumption of deep-fried foods is spiking again. Not sorry. According to ChewBoom, Sonic Drive-In is getting in on the action, too, with their new Fried Cookie Dough Bites à la Mode.

The bite-sized treats feature chocolate chip cookie dough fried to be crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. The good people at Sonic serve them with a side of real ice cream for dipping. That’s what makes them “à la Mode.”

Fried Cookie Dough Bites à la Mode will be available at participating Sonic Drive-In locations nationwide starting September 26th but will only be available through November 27th. Sonic app users can get early access starting today (9/21).

List: 7 North Carolina Born Fast Food Chains

I for sure have a clear favorite on this list. Though I also have strong opinions about some of the newer locations they’ve opened. My own personal “walk uphill both ways” bias.

Did your favorite North Carolina fast food chain main the list? Did we miss some? Let us know!
