What's going on over at Wendy's? A Reddit user recently discovered an unauthenticated memo that appears to be from Wendy’s corporate headquarters. It spells out plans for a few additions to the fast food chain's Made to Crave menu. I'm picking up some Mediterranean vibes from these new items:

  • Italian Chicken Mozzarella Sandwich
  • Italian Cheeseburger
  • Garlic Fries

According to Eat This, Not That, the sandwiches were allegedly tested in the Columbus, Ohio market earlier this year with results that “surpassed expectations.” They feature a garlic knot bun, marinara sauce, and fried mozzarella cheese. Prices weren’t stated on the memo, but the Garlic Fries are said to be $2-3 more expensive than Wendy’s traditional fries.

Reactions were mixed, with one user saying, “finally something good” and another commenting, “this sounds like BK’s Italian Chicken” and “I can’t imagine these flavors complementing a burger, but maybe someone likes beef drenched in tomato sauce?" The new menu items will be available beginning November 15th.

The memo goes on to reveal a couple other changes at Wendy's. To make room for the new menu items, the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich and Hot Honey Chicken Biscuit will be disappearing from all digital ordering platforms on November 14th. Wendy's giveth and Wendy's taketh away.
