Coyote Found In Middle School Bathroom
Coyotes live in the wild and can brave just about anything there. They’re also quite comfortable in suburban areas. I’ve seen numerous coyotes in my backyard and even on the streets of my neighborhood. But in a middle school? That’s a different story.
According to KABC-TV, a male coyote found his way inside Mission Middle School in Jurupa Valley, California, on Monday (10/3) and couldn’t get back out. The animal hid in a bathroom stall until a Riverside County Animal Services officer was able to safely remove him.
The coyote had been hanging out on the school property for weeks. He had been there so long, the staff nicknamed him Wile E., after the character from the Road Runner cartoons. There were no signs of anvils or rocket skates in his possession.
Once the animal control team got the coyote out of the bathroom and released him, he immediately took off running. In the video below, you can see the coyote cowering behind a toilet. He looks scared. Who could blame him? Middle school is no picnic.
