Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream Releases Holiday Flavors

It doesn’t matter what time of year it is, I’m always in for ice cream! Popular ice cream maker Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream has released their holiday flavors for 2022 and they look yummy.

These holiday flavors are only available for a limited time, and you won’t be able to buy them until October 27. All the details are on the company’s website. The flavors for this holiday season are:

  • White Chocolate Peppermint-a swirl of pink and white peppermint with white chocolate freckles.
  • Mexican Hot Chocolate– a combo of velvety milk chocolate cream, cinnamon, and cayenne.
  • Pistachio Macaron-roasted pistachio cream with a savory finish and nougat-like honey texture.
  • Cranberry Crumble-brown sugar-oat crisp, cranberries, and walnuts wrapped in lively cranberry cream
  • Boozy Eggnog-silky egg custard spiked with nutmeg and Uncle Nearest whiskey.

I am all about the Mexican Hot Chocolate and the Cranberry Crumble! They sound delightful. And I gotta admit that I’m interested in trying the Boozy Eggnog. Eggnog is the popular flavor this year with Eggo Waffles releasing their own boozy drink. It’s called the Eggo Nog and it’s for adults only.

North Carolina Ice Cream Shop Named One of America's Must Try Ice Cream Shops

I absolutely love ice cream, clearly. I enjoy writing about it every chance I get. But, this heat that has come to us this summer makes ice cream even more enjoyable. Finding new ice cream shops to enjoy can be not only fun but very cooling. My sweet tooth is always ringing for something new. Beyond the typical ice cream, finding cool shops that are uniquely different is even better.

Thrillist gathered a list of America’s best ice cream shops that we probably all need to try. Thankfully, one North Carolina ice cream shop made this long list. It’s located in Durham and I personally have never been, but just know it has been added to my bucket list. The ice cream shops on the list represent a new wave of artisan shops taking ice cream to the next level. From wild flavors to unique tricks to even “healthy” ice cream. I know, that’s a lot.
