Giant Christmas Balls Wreak Havoc On London Streets
It was like Santa Claus meets Indiana Jones. According to ITV, a pair of giant Christmas balls began rolling around the streets of London on a particularly breezy Halloween night….

Dan Kitwood/Getty ImagesIt was like Santa Claus meets Indiana Jones. According to ITV, a pair of giant Christmas balls began rolling around the streets of London on a particularly breezy Halloween night. Chaos ensued.
The two shiny baubles were larger than cars. A gusty wind caused them to bounce in and out of traffic, hit lampposts, and generally made people run for their lives. It really looked like that scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark when Indiana Jones fled the giant rolling boulder.
As the oversized ornaments ricocheted down Tottenham Court Road, their skins came off, leaving a wake of glittery debris. It’s not known where the errant balls came from, but someone clearly didn't use enough duct tape to secure them. You can see the holiday havoc unfold below:
