A therapy pony named Pumuckel is waiting to see if he’s the world record holder for smallest pony. According to USA Today, the Shetland pony, who lives in Germany, stands at just 20 inches tall, or just under two feet. He looks more like a puppy than a horse.

The current record holder is two inches taller than Pumuckel, but Guinness World Record requires a horse to be four years old to qualify. Pumuckel is only three so he'll have to wait. If he doesn't grow any more in that time, Pumuckel should have the record. In the meantime, the adorable therapy pony is happy to continue spreading joy in the elementary schools and retirement homes he visits with his human, Carola Weidemann.

In an interview with Reuters, Weidemann says Pumuckel is very affectionate. At 77 pounds, he weighs less than many dogs. You could imagine cuddling with Pumuckel on the couch.
