Concord Woman Wins Two Different Lottos In One Day
Talk about some serious luck! There’s a woman in Concord that scored big time on the same day. She won in two different ways on November 9.
Brenda Gomez Hernandez, of Concord, won a $100,000 lottery prize from a Powerball ticket after delivering a baby girl on November 9. According to Yahoo, Hernandez gave birth to a healthy baby girl and just hour later won a $100,000 prize in the North Carolina Lottery.
After delivering her baby girl, Hernandez bought a $3 Quick Pick ticket and matched four white balls and the Powerball with the 2X Power Play multiplier that same night. She used the birth dates of her two boys to win the money. She says her new baby girl brought her luck.
After taxes, Hernandez ending up taking home over $65, 000. Definitely money that is needed for a family with three kids! She says she plans to use some of the money to pay for her home.
