With the holiday travel season here, you might be concerned about another spike in Covid cases. I know I am, especially since I’ll be traveling to see family in Philadelphia and New York City soon. While it certainly appears that the worst days of the pandemic are behind us, we can’t let our guard down yet.

CNBC reports that the Biden administration has announced plans to bring back the program that provides free at-home Covid-19 tests. Through the program, American households will be able to receive the tests via the U.S. Postal Service.

While the original program was paused in September, it will be restarted in what the White House calls a “winter preparedness plan” to take on end-of-the-year cases. Americans can order up to four free tests at covid.gov/tests and should expect shipments to begin next week.

In addition to the threat of a Covid surge, the emergence of RSV during the usual cold and flu season has created a three-headed monster of potential illness. Let’s be careful out there.
