Twitter Is Laughing At Man Who Used Wallpaper To Wrap Christmas Presents
I’ll be the first to admit that I’m terrible at wrapping presents, and Christmas is my Super Bowl of crappy wrapping. If you’ve ever received a gift from me, you’d be right to wonder why I had it wrapped by an orangutan. This is why, for my money, the gift bag is one of the greatest inventions in human history. Or, if I have the option, I’ll pay extra to have a gift professionally wrapped. But at least I’ve never done what a guy in Ireland did this holiday season.
According to the New York Post, a Twitter user named Daniel has gone viral with a thread explaining just how big of a mistake his brother made at Christmas. According to Daniel, his brother wrapped presents with an entire roll of wallpaper that his mother had purchased for a redecorating project in her Dublin home. Worse yet, it cost $75 per roll.
“First Christmas argument underway,” Daniel wrote in the tweet, and people had a blast in the comments. “Let us know when the funeral is,” one commenter wrote. But the story has a happy ending. Someone who works for the company that makes the wallpaper replied and told Daniel they would replace the used wallpaper with a free roll. A Christmas miracle, indeed.
My brother used, as wrapping paper, the €70 wallpaper that Mum had bought to redecorate rooms. Cannot cope ahahah
