For the record, I have been here several times and it was delicious. Here is why a popular Charlotte, North Carolina steakhouse got a “b” rating from the Mecklenburg County health department.
Morton’s The Steakhouse at 227 West Trade Street in Charlotte got the less than favorable rating from the Mecklenburg County Health department reportedly due to multiple violations. Some having to do with food storage according to the Charlotte Observer. Dirty dishes were also found at the time of inspection according to the paper.
Everything that was in violation was corrected but this is not the first time this Charlotte Morton’s steakhouse has received a B score. The paper says this is the fifth “B” since March of 2022. To read more details, you can get them here from the Charlotte Observer.
I will not let this less than favorable grade keep me from giving them another chance. The steaks are too good. I am betting they won’t let it happen again:)
