TikTok Video Of ‘Husband Calling’ At State Fair Going Viral
What in THE heck is this?! A video of something called ‘husband calling’ is going viral on TikTok and it’s a trip! Apparently this is something that happens at the Iowa State Fair. And yes, it’s a real contest.
According to Yahoo, a TikTok video, posted by the account @_rhinestonecowboy, is from the 2017 Iowa State Fair husband calling contest. The video has snagged more than 1 million views.
According to the State Fair’s marketing director Mindy Williamson, the husband calling contest is a part of the Heritage competitions held in Pioneer Hall at the Fairgrounds. Usually the contest features about 12 to 15 entries every year.
Not sure why this is going viral now, but it’s too funny! I know one thing, I could win this quick! I have a big voice! My mom calls it a ‘Brooklyn backyard voice’. LOL!
The TikTok video, clipped from an Iowa PBS video of the contest, shows the 2017 top five finalists doing their thing! The grand prize is $5 and all the participants received a ribbon.
It’s funny to watch! Enjoy!
