Campbell’s Debuts Their Spiciest Soup Ever

When I see a Campbell’s Soup can, nostalgia washes over me. As a kid of the 70’s and 80’s, Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup and Campbell’s Chicken and Stars soups were the go-to if you were sick. Your mom would make you a bowl and serve it to you with a side of saltine crackers. Just thinking about it makes me feel cozy. It’s the perfect comfort food! Campbell’s new soup is a bit different and less comforting.
According to Food Beast, Campbell’s is debuting a new soup tomorrow, January 27, and to get this soup you have to sign a waiver because it’s so spicy! Campbell’s Chunky Ghost Pepper Chicken Noodle will be up for grabs Friday. You can’t buy the soup in stores, at least not yet. If you want it, you have to be one of the first 500 people to sign the waiver at ChunkySpicyWaiver.com on the drop day (at 1PM ET) will receive a can.
The new flavor is 13 times spicier than Chunky Spicy Chicken Noodle. Each can of Chunky Ghost Pepper Chicken Noodle will be sent with a ‘Relieve the Heat’ kit, which includes tissues, a fan, sweat band, and cooling towel.
Ghost Pepper seems to be ‘in’ right now and I don’t get it. I’m all about spicy but when something is so hot it’s hurtful, I’m out! Being a person that deals with allergies, I enjoy something spicy to open up the nose. Ghost Pepper is too much for me. Horseradish, Wasabi, lots of pepper I’m good with! Ghost Pepper just screams unnecessary stomach pain to me.
IF you are one of the lucky (?) folks to get a can, please let me know how it is! Phil and I could try it for a ‘taste test’ video, but I have a feeling I’d have to take the rest of the day off if we did!
