Baby Born At Barbecue Joint Instantly Gets Adorable And Fitting Nickname
Most people don’t get their nicknames until they’ve done something to earn it, and that usually takes a few years. However, there’s one young fellow in Colorado who got his nickname on the day he was born. And it’s because of where he was born.
According to KKTV 11 News, Emily and Kemper Simpich were driving to a hospital in Colorado Springs on January 13th when their baby decided he couldn’t wait to be born. They pulled into the parking lot of Rudy’s Country Store and Barbecue to wait for paramedics, but their son arrived before the first responders did.
Because of the location of the dramatic birth, some folks suggested that Emily and Kemper name their son Rudy, after the restaurant. Instead, the couple stuck with their original choice and named their baby boy Weston. But here’s where the nickname came into play. The proud parents have taken to calling their child “Brisket” and “Little Brisket.”
Mom and Dad also say they plan to bring their “Little Brisket” to Rudy’s at least a few times on future birthdays. That would only be fitting. That is, as long as Weston doesn’t go vegan.
