Modern Update Of ‘Starsky & Hutch’ In The Works
In the beginning, we had Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul. Then came Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson in 2004. Who will play the crime-fighting buddy duo next? The iconic 1970s cop show Starsky & Hutch is coming back to television, but with one very big twist.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox is developing a new version of Starsky & Hutch with some significant updates. The show will feature two female detectives, Sasha Starsky and Nicole Hutchinson, who solve crimes in fictional Desert City while trying to unravel the mystery of who sent their fathers to prison for a crime they didn’t commit.
As you may recall, ABC aired the original Starsky & Hutch from 1975 through 1979. The network’s hit series followed Bay City cops David Michael Starsky (Paul Michael Glaser) and Kenneth Richard Hutchinson (David Soul) as they solved murders in their bitchin’ red Gran Torino.
The updated version will be a one-hour drama and is very early in the production stage, so no actresses have been named yet. Who do you think should play Sasha Starsky and Nicole Hutchinson in the reboot? And what kind of car should they drive?
