There's a lot to love about going to Costco. From enjoying one food sample after another, to stocking up on inexpensive pants and a worrisome amount of toilet paper, to filling your car with cheap gas before heading home, you can easily spend half a day at Costco. And I sometimes do. But my absolute favorite thing to do on a Costco run is picking up a pie or two.

If you're not dialed in on Costco's pies, you're missing out. And I'm talking about every kind of fresh-made pie they sell. Whether it's a classic apple pie, their iconic pumpkin pie during the holiday season, a stick-to-your-ribs shepherd's pie, or my all-time favorite, the big-as-a-wagon-wheel savory chicken pot pie, Costco is quite simply killing it with pies.

According to Popsugar, Costco members are raving about the latest addition to their pie roster: the peanut butter chocolate cream pie. The decadent dessert dropped last week and has set the Twitterverse on fire. The peanut butter chocolate cream pie features a buttery graham cracker crust, one layer of peanut butter mousse, and one layer of chocolate mousse. It's then topped with swirls of peanut butter mousse and graham cracker crumbs around the edges.

Weighing in at almost five pounds, Costco's peanut butter chocolate pie is pretty sweet value at $19.99. You can easily get 16 hefty slices out of it. A video of the pie has gone viral on TikTok. One viewer joked, “Excuse me while I go gain 50 lbs.” Excuse me while I go to Costco.

If you're anything like me then you're a sweet kind of person. I love desserts, sugary treats, and all of that all the time. My sweet tooth is beyond strong and is always calling my name. Whenever I am craving something sweet, it's pretty hard to determine what I want. From cookies to ice cream to baked goods, they are all so good. But, being from South Carolina there are some treats that are just a staple for us to know.

Taste Atlas is giving us the three most popular South Carolinian desserts you should know. These are three, but I know there are a few more to add to this list. My aunt has taught me many things and baking some of our favorite recipes that have been passed down is one of the best things. If you do not know any of these treats, then you are missing out. Check out some popular desserts famous in South Carolina that you 100% need to know.

Huguenot Torte

A favorite from Charleston is the Huguenot Torte treat. This is a baked apple and pecan or walnut pudding cake with crispy meringue topping and served with whipped cream. Taste Atlas says this is a pretty recent recipe for the Charleston base.  The recipe first showed up in the 1950s in a cookbook and began to blow up shortly after.

Benne Wafers

Now this is a great one for sure! Benne Wafers is a traditional American cookie coming straight out of Charleston. Made up of a great combo of butter, sugar, flour, eggs, baking powder, and benne. Benne is the Bantu word for sesame seeds. They are a cookie dated back years and years and are now a treat that tourists can enjoy when visiting.

Lady Baltimore Cake

Now, this may be a new one for me. The Lady Baltimore Cake is Taste Atlas No. 1 South Carolina dessert. I have personally never heard of or had this which is kind of crazy being from Charleston. This famous cake was created by two women who ran Charleston's Lady Baltimore Tea Room. The cake is several layers of white sponge cake and a rich marshmallow-like frosting mixed with chopped nuts and dried fruits.
