Three Colleges In The Carolinas Among Happiest In U.S.
If you have kids at college like I do, you want to know they’re doing well and thriving there. Sure, you’d like for them to get good grades and find a career path while they’re in school, but it’s also important to know that your child is actually happy at college.
Resume building site Resume.io used Instagram and an AI tool to discover the happiest colleges and universities in different countries around the world, including the United States. More specifically, they used facial recognition to detect smiles in selfies that were geotagged at various colleges. Then they ranked the schools according to the highest proportion of happy-looking faces.
Okay, maybe it’s not the most scientific method for determining happiness, but it’s something. As it turns out, students at TCU in Fort Worth, Texas seem to be smiling the most on campus. However, three schools in the Carolinas are also among America’s top 20 happiest colleges. Elon, Clemson, and UNC all made the list.
