Finding a good entry-level job right out of college can be challenging, as many graduating students will discover this spring. My oldest nephew is graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill next month and he already has a job lined up in Atlanta. I hope his experience is the norm rather than the exception for kids these days. A new report from employment site Indeed reveals there’s been a sharp increase in listings between September 2022 and February 2023 for job titles that pay at least $40,000 per year. But it’s not just about a starting salary. New grads will also want to find careers that are in demand and growing. These are the ten fastest-growing job titles, that are increasing in demand the most, and typically require a college degree:
- Outside Sales Representative – average salary $60,000
- Transportation Coordinator – average salary $47,500
- Quality Auditor – average salary $84,500
- Accounting Coordinator – average salary $52,000
- Tax Preparer – average salary $67,500
- Loan Processor – average salary $55,000
- Retention Specialist – average salary $50,000
- Network Operations Technician – average salary $85,500
- Mental Health Case Manager – average salary $42,000
- Speech Language Pathologist – average salary $60,000
