It’s Farmers Market Time And Josh’s In Mooresville Looks Amazing
I love going to farmer’s markets. Spring and summer are the perfect time to get fresh veggies, fruit, and flowers. Last weekend I went to the Gastonia Farmers Market and ended up with a massive but delicious blueberry pie. I posted a picture of it on Facebook and a friend filled me in on Josh’s Farmers Market in Mooresville.
This weekend I’m hoping to make a road trip to Mooresville to check it out. Looking at their Facebook page, it looks like they already have some yummy foods available. One of their posts shows some great looking strawberries, and although it’s still a bit early, I’m hoping to score some tomatoes. Last summer I became a bit addicted to Heirloom tomatoes and I’m already on the hunt for some this year.
Not only does Josh’s have fresh produce, they have an array of fish and meats for sale too. They seafood looks really fresh! They also sell local specialty foods as well as local dairy. My friend that told me about the market bought a Key Lime Pie that she says is unreal. They come from Florida, but the market also sells other pies made locally.
If you’re looking for spring plants and flowers, they have lots of those too! I’m waiting til this Saturday to go because I get paid Friday, and I have a feeling I’m going to spend a lot of money at this market! I’m all about trying to support local businesses and even though this is in another county, technically it’s still supporting local!
Shopping at farmers markets in our area is a great way to help out local farmers and businesses. If you’d like to check out Josh’s Farmers Market, it’s at 140 Raceway Drive in Mooresville. You can take a look at their Facebook page to get a sense of what they offer, and you can hit their website.
