500 Pounds Of Pasta Dumped By A Stream And We Have Lots Of Questions
When I saw this story, my brain started rolling and the questions started popping into my head. The ‘who, what, and why’ questions immediately came into my mind. 500 pounds of pasta were found dumped by a stream in New Jersey and lots of folks are finding it interesting.
According to NJ.com, Nina Jochnowitz was told by a concerned citizen that the huge mound of noodles was near her property. Naturally she went to check it out to see if the person was correct. And they were!
Jochnowitz found a 25-foot-wide mountain of an array of cooked pastas. Seeing the ziti, spaghetti, and elbow macaroni lying in the forest. She started taking pictures and began posting them to social media. It’s unclear how long the pasta was in the woods and as of right now, police don’t know who left the starchy mess.
Police are investigating the pasta dump but so far don’t have any suspects, however we have SO many questions about this! Who cooked this much pasta and where did they do it? Why would someone leave this in the woods near someone’s house? How did they carry all the pasta to the woods? Pasta is heavy when cooked so they had to a big vehicle to transport the food. What is the point of leaving this?
As of right now, none of my questions can be answered. I’m a pasta fan and it’s a damn shame someone wasted this much food! Jochnowitz previously ran for council in the township of Old Bridge, so the thinking is that the pasta mound is some type of political statement. I’m not sure what the statement IS but I’m looking forward to finding out more about this!
