For a band founded under the gray skies of Birmingham, England, going to southern California for the first time was like arriving in paradise. At least, that's how it felt for Duran Duran as their collective star was still rising in the early-1980s. That infatuation with the sunshine and glitz of Los Angeles is on full display in the docu-concert, Duran Duran - A Hollywood High.

According to AllAccess, the movie, which opened in theaters last fall, celebrates the band's more-than-40-year career and longstanding love affair with L.A. It includes revealing interviews and a rooftop set filmed in March 2022 with Hollywood's iconic Capitol Records building as the backdrop.

The DVD and Blu-ray releases coming in August have 20 minutes of exclusive extras, including unseen documentary footage, an additional song, and highlights from a Q&A in Los Angeles. New bundles with limited edition recordings, flexi-disc test pressings, signed items from the band, and special booklets will also be offered.

Duran Duran - A Hollywood High will come to Paramount+ on June 21st and DVD/Blu-ray in early August. Back in March of this year, Duran Duran took to their Instagram to announce that they are also working on a new musical project, set for release in late 2023.

Duran Duran: Classic Images of the Iconic Pop Group

Duran Duran has done what few of their peers have been able to do: They've managed to survive the test of time.

Over the years, there have been some lineup shakeups, but to this day, the core of the band remains intact with the current lineup being Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor and Roger Taylor.

Selling over 100 million albums worldwide, the group is responsible for some of the most enduring pop-rock hits of all time from "Hungry Like the Wolf" to "The Reflex" to "Notorious" to "The Wild Boys" to "Ordinary World" and many more.
