Super Fan Wears Disguise To Taylor Swift Concert After Calling In Sick To Work
The devotion of Taylor Swift fans continues to grow and shows no signs of slowing down. It spans multiple generations and is bordering on religious fervor. Swifties are lining up in the middle of the night just to get first crack at Taylor’s merchandise. Some fans are even wearing adult diapers to her concerts so they don’t miss a moment of the magic. What even compares to this level of fandom? Michael Jackson in the ’80s? The Beatles in the ’60s? Elvis in the ’50s? No, this is something different. One fan even risked her livelihood for Taylor Swift.
According to Billboard, Taylor Swift’s concert on Saturday, July 1st at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati had folks lining up as early as Thursday, June 29th just to buy Eras Tour merchandise. One super fan from Louisville, Kentucky, who drove up to buy merch before the show had to do so incognito.
The woman wore sunglasses and a blanket over her head while talking to a news reporter from WKRC-TV. That’s because she had called in sick to work in order to go to the merch stand simply to buy a gray quarter-zip. She told the reporter that she had been camped out there since 2:45 AM. I don’t think even Beatlemania ever reached that point.
The disguised fan also said she almost gave her daughter the middle name Taylor because of what Taylor Swift means to her. She said it’s her second show after going to the Nashville one. The reporter assured the woman that her skip day from work would remain a secret between her and her fellow Swifties. You can see the interview below.
