Mom’s Unique Baby Name Goes Viral On Reddit And It’s So Bad
Phil and I have chatted about bad baby names many times. Last week we were talking about a woman who makes $250 an hour as a professional baby namer. At first I thought this job was silly. However, after seeing this thread on Reddit, I think more people should use her services. A woman is going viral for the awful baby name she’s thinking of giving little girl. And I gotta tell you, the name is bad!
According to WPEC, the mom-to-be posted the name she’s chosen on Reddit and people are going wild! Almost all of the comments are negative. Folks are saying the name is so wrong!
The post reads, “I am thinking of calling my daughter Quiftopher after my grandparents, Quinn, Florence, and both pops are Christopher. I love the name but have gotten mixed feedback.” Many folks on Reddit expressed their opinions, most saying the name is awful. My favorite comment is; ‘It sounds like someone is trying to say Christopher with food in their mouth.’ LOL!
I totally understand wanting to name your child after folks in your life. Although, looking at the grandparents’ names, I’m coming up with better names. She could use Quince, a mix of Quinn and Florence, and use Christine to honor both grandparents. Quince is odd too but it’s better than Quiftopher. That’s horrible!
If she names the little girl Quiftopher she needs to go ahead and plan on getting the child some self-defense training. That kid is going to have issues with bullying! Since receiving such harsh comments, the woman has deleted her Reddit post. That said, someone else on Reddit shared her post to another forum on the platform, so the backlash is continuing.
Some of the folks commenting on Reddit are offering other name ideas. For instance, one user says ‘Florence Quiftopher’ would be a better option. Another person says ‘Quinn Florence’ would be the way to go. I think any and all ideas people have will be better than ‘Quiftopher’.
Despite being told it is an awful idea, she asked for opinions on Reddit: "I am thinking of calling my daughter Quiftopher."https://t.co/tFfZW8JBWw
