After two years of marriage, Ariana Grande and her husband, Dalton Gomez, are calling it quits. Per gossip website TMZ, the couple has been separated since January and is heading toward divorce, sources close to the couple said. Grande, who recently celebrated her 30th birthday, was in London for Wimbledon over the weekend. The singer was seen not wearing her wedding ring, fueling the rumors of separation. In fact, Grande has been spotted on several occasions not wearing her wedding ring. She was joined by Wicked co-star, Jonathan Bailey, sitting closely with other stars like Andrew Garfield and Tom Hiddleston.

According to reports, the couple apparently tried reconciliation a few months back to no avail. One source confirmed to the gossip site that the pair “is heading for divorce.” Dalton and Ariana began dating in 2020 following her relationship to Pete Davidson, whom she was engaged to. Since their May 2021 wedding, they have kept their relationship out of the public eye. Still, Gomez made the occasional appearance on Grande’s social media accounts. Gomez, 27, is a luxury real estate agent. Currently, his Instagram page has been deleted.
Since Grande started filming Wicked in December, the two have been thousands of miles of distance between them. Sources told TMZ that despite that, the couple was having problems. Though they are apparently still friends and keep in contact, there is no hope for the marriage to be fixed.
Ariana is playing Glinda in the upcoming film adaptation of Wicked, which will hit theaters on November 27, 2024. Over ten years in the making, Grande was signed on in 2021 along with Cynthia Erivo, who will be playing Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West. The second installment of Wicked will premiere one year later on November 25, 2025.
