Charlotte Mimosa Festival Coming In September For A Festive Sunday Funday
It’s been way too long since I had a mimosa ‘Sunday Funday’ with my friends. A buddy of mine used to own a bar/restaurant in Belmont, and on Sundays he’d offer bottomless mimosas. You’d wake up Monday morning with a bit of a headache, but it was worth it! If you brunch often with friends and enjoy a mimosa or two, this festival is for you!
I was scrolling through Facebook last night and an add popped up for the ‘Charlotte Mimosa Festival’. After Googling the festival, I found out that it began in 2019, and the festival sold out of tickets quickly. Due to COVID, the festival didn’t happen in 2020, but it came back strong in 2021, selling out of tickets in hours. According to charlottemimosafestival.com, the festival is back for 2023.
The festival offers a wide variety of mimosas, musical entertainment, food trucks, and vendors. This year the festival is taking place Sunday, September 17 at Lenny Boy Brewing on S. Tryon in Charlotte. The festivities begin at 1 p.m. and ends at 5 p.m. That gives you plenty of time to kick back a variety of mimosas and have a blast with friends. I’m sure you can go solo to the event and end up meeting new friends! Nothing brings folks together like cocktails and shopping.
Since the festival sells out quickly, you’ll need to buy tickets asap! General admission and VIP packages are available. The VIP tickets include food and upgraded drinks. Since alcohol is involved, you must be 21 years old and older to attend the festival. Unlimited mimosas aren’t available, but you get full pours with each mimosa, so you’ll definitely enjoy enough alcohol. Parking at the event is limited, so taking an Uber to and from the festival is a good idea.
Tickets for the event are on sale now and you can purchase them here. As much as I enjoy a mimosa, I’m all about trying different varieties! If it’s been a while since you’ve hung out with a group of your friends, this is a great occasion to get together and have some fun!
