‘Barbie’ Movie Coming To On-Demand Video Soon And You’ll Want To Preorder
‘Barbie’ is the number one movie of the year, and it’s now Warner Bros.’ highest grossing movie in North America. The movie’s earrings is $537.5 million here in the U.S., and globally it’s earned $1.2 billion so far. The movie is on track to be one of the biggest money-making films of all time. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s coming to video on demand on September 5.
According to UPI, Amazon Prime Video is already taking preorders for the movie for $19.99. Vudu and Apple TV are taking preorders for $24.99, but there is no release date yet. ‘Barbie’ is set to be streaming on Max this fall, possibly by the end of October.
Since the movie’s opening on July 21, people are flocking to theaters to see it. Many folks are going to see it more than once. Continuously on Facebook I am seeing pictures of people dressed all in pink, going to the film. Online I’m seeing lots of different articles about couples breaking up after seeing the movie.
Reading a few articles, many women are saying that the men in their life not liking the movie is a ‘red or pink’ flag for them. Although I haven’t seen the movie yet, it’s my understanding that many of the themes within the movie are dealing with breaking away from a patriarch society. The movie is showing many women that they don’t have to fit into a certain ‘box’ to enjoy life. Being who you really are and doing what you want to do is important. The major theme is showing women that self-acceptance is a must. Accepting all of your good qualities and flaws will lead you to truly loving yourself. It’s easier to face the world and succeed when you know who you are.
I really need to see the movie. I’ve always been very independent and have always tried to be true to myself. My parents expected me to go to law school when I was younger. It took years for my father to be proud of my radio career. In retrospect, law would have been way more profitable, but I’m sure it wouldn’t have been as fun! Sometimes you have to follow your passions, despite what others think.
Rarely do I go to see movies at theaters anymore, but I’m in for watching ‘Barbie’ once it’s streaming. Due to the movie’s popularity, you’ll be seeing lots of ‘Barbie’s’ and ‘Kens’ for Halloween. The color pink is already seeing an uptick. Just yesterday I saw an ad on Instagram for Amazon, promoting all pink kitchen appliances and kitchen accessories. Think pink and take the positive lessons from the movie to heart!
