South Carolina Artist Can Help Make Your Special Event Magical And Even More Beautiful
I lived in Columbia, South Carolina for about 8 years. During my time there, I met some amazing people. Chris McDaniel is someone I never met but ended up following on social media. Hopefully I’ll be meeting him soon because I have decided to secure his services to make a portrait of my dogs Gypsy and Maxwell.
The first time I saw Chris’ artwork was on Instagram. I immediately began following him. Chris McDaniel is a self-taught artist from Columbia, S.C. and he does live wedding paintings. Prior to following Chris, I’d never heard of anything like this. Chris is hired to attend weddings, and while at the event, he will do a live painting of the couple. His creations are truly stunning! He manages to capture all of the excitement, love, and happiness the couple shares. It’s wild!
When I was a toddler in the 1970’s, my mom had an oil portrait done of my brother and me. We’d have to sit still for an hour or so at a time until the portrait was finished. It’s beautiful, but I’m sure having two young kids sit still was a ruckus. Chris’ artwork is different. While the wedding is happening, he manages to capture the moment perfectly. It’s hard to describe his talent. And the fact that he’s self-taught is amazing!
I lost my dog Maxwell in 2018 to cancer at the age of 13. He was my first rescue dog, and I got him when he was around two-years old. Gypsy passed away almost 3 months to the day that Maxwell died, leaving me in 2019. Gypsy was my first puppy as an adult. When I got her, she was four pounds. She was the runt of her Jack Russel litter, and she was the cutest thing. She passed away just before her 16th birthday.
Looking at Gypsy and Maxwell, you would think they were related. Their markings were so similar, it was crazy! Through the years, I took tons of pictures of them, but there’s one that I’ve decided to make into a painting. It’s a picture of both dogs, sitting side by side, looking out the window. They look like a mom/dad dog and baby dog. Both their ears are up, and the picture captures their cuteness.
Chris is planning on making a 20×20 portrait of the picture, but I’m letting him go with a different setting. In the picture, the dogs are on my bed. I think the picture of the two of them, maybe looking at the sun or something will be cool. Since he’s the artist, I’m going to let him choose how he creates the portrait.
If you have a special event coming up or a wedding in the future, Chris’ portraits can help you relive the special moment over and over. If you’re looking for an amazing wedding gift, hiring him to create one of his masterpieces is the perfect gift idea! Chris will also do special projects, like paintings of animals, if you ask. You can contact him here to get more information. Paying for his creations is money well spent!
